The average adult human body consists of 50 to 75 percent WATER, making it the most abundant component found in your body! Your body will not function optimally without ideal hydration. Water helps flush out toxins, transports nutrients to your cells. Water MUST be replenished through food and drink.
The old axiom to drink eight, eight-ounce glasses of water per day is another attempt at a one-size-fits-all standard. A more practical approach to water consumption is to personalize your daily water intake to your current stare of health and body size. Drink half you body weight in oz. every day of clean filtered water.....example a 120 lb woman would drink 60 oz of water each day. A 180 man would drink 90 oz. Clean filtered water is the preferred choice for hydration because alcohol, soda and other high-sugar beverages can actually deplete your water storage and harm your health.
Increased water consumption also has a balancing effect on your appetite. By ingesting proper amounts of water, you feel fuller helping to control your appetite. Finally, water is needed to build your body, serving to energize every cell and organ in the body.
